E.J. Pyrgos Bay Hotel

Highly recommended!

Pros: The room was spotless and comfortable, but the real highlight was the incredible view, it truly made the stay unforgettable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was ideal. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable experience.

Amazing (situationally)

Pros: First, I visited the place at the end of October, which, trust me, makes all the difference. The hotel was practically ours, just a handful of other guests who probably felt the same. It’s right on the shore, so you get the soothing (or relentless, depending on your sleep habits) sound of waves all night. The stairs lead straight from the dining area to a private beach, where we spent the whole day spotting maybe five other humans. Unbelievable. The village itself is beautifully isolated. Technically, Google Maps claims there’s a route from the west side, but don’t believe everything you read on the internet. The only real way in is from Pomos, over the hills. It’s the perfect place to stare at the starry night sky and question your life choices. In a good way! Anyway, that was our experience. I’d strongly recommend it in the off-season for anyone looking for true peace and quiet, or for a single night if you’re planning to continue through the Paphos forest over the mountains.

Cons: Now for the “situational” part. The barman mentioned they’re fully booked in summer. So, imagining this quiet paradise packed with people, a few downsides start to stand out. No one on the staff speaks fluent, or even decent English. The place is quite worn (not dirty, just… experienced), and the breakfast is what I’d politely call a “budget-friendly”. If you plan to move around from there, it’s not the best choice for a base. Getting to Pomos alone takes about 30 minutes one way.

Peaceful stay in quiet village of Kato Pyrgos

Pros: The hotel is next to the sea. Comfortable clean accommodation. Convenient to have the restaurant at the hotel. Nice to have breakfast with sea view.

Cons: The hairdryer plug was unsuitable and luckily we had an adaptor.

Lovely break for our wedding anniversary

Pros: The location is great, beautiful view of the beach. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate evening meal in the hotel and they made veggie meals especially for my wife on both nights.

Cons: Would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea or coffee

Pros: View is spectacular! Rooms also fairly renovated. The property has great potential due its unique location

Cons: Apparently it’s a family business. It should be run more with professionalism and less like visiting this family’s house. Baby’s playground shouldn’t be at the breakfast buffet.

Nice family run hotel

Pros: Perfect location right by the sea. The hotel-restaurant is nice, prices are like everywhere else and the food is of good quality. Staff is very nice and welcoming, rooms are spacious, beds are big and the balcony allows a perfect view and sitting facilities. Breakfast was right, all in all a nice family run hotel. The beach even had a lifeguard on duty all day

Cons: Just the little touches are missing, nothing major

Value for Money Choice

Pros: Excellent location! The staff were absolutely delightful! The room was comfy, featuring a great veranda with a sea view. There were good options available on both the lunch and dinner menu.

Cons: The breakfast could be enhanced with small touches, such as fresh juice or fruit, along with a wider selection of teas. Additionally, the route leading to the beach could benefit from some cleaning. The area of the breakfast buffet could also use some improvement.
