The Saline Views Makenzy

Pros: A spacious apartment with a stunning view of the Salt Lake — exactly what we needed. Proximity to Mackenzie Beach was also a priority, so we were prepared for the fact that we'd need to take public transportation/car to the city center and shops. Separate rooms, a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. I initially chose this apartment, but after reading previous reviews about cockroaches, I was terrified. I can assure you, there are no cockroaches—I've checked. I even brought some repellant, but in vain))). The beds are comfortable, the bed linens and towels are clean and soft. Each room has a TV and air conditioning, and the internet works well and is quite fast. Kitchen utensils and cutlery were adequate, though it's a pity the cleaning company removes everything from previous tenants—salt, pepper, and sugar—which would have been useful to have on hand at first time.

Cons: The building isn't new, but the apartment still needs some renovation. It's quite tired—I wouldn't say it's completely worn out, but it still has plenty of flaws: rust, broken furniture, mold in the bathrooms. The water pressure in the bathtub and shower is very poor, the shower faucets are leaking, and drainage is difficult.

Excellent family apartment for short stay

Pros: Location fantastic. Excellent value for money. Really clean. Easy check-in and check out. Great view of the airport and the salt lake. TVs in every bedroom working. Wi-fi really reliable and fast, no problem streaming Netflix whilst everyone also using the phone. Air conditioners in all rooms worked well. Good supply of hot water in the bathroom, and the spare toilet is very handy. Good fridge, kettle and toaster worked fine. Beds quite comfortable, kids had no complaints. Would stay there again.

Cons: Nothing major or serious but would recommend having some kitchen towels available, bowls for cereal / pasta. The balcony is a bit tight on space and furnishings a bit dated but apart from that everything else is good.

Fantastic stay at a high class property

Pros: Everthing was perfect! Very clean. The beds were comfy. The host was very responsive. The beach is just a few mins walk and the view from the balcony was simply fantastic. We will definitely come back.

Lovely modern apartment in a great location.

Pros: Great location close to airport, beach, shops/supermarkets, cafés and restaurants with beautiful views/sunsets overlooking salt lake. Spacious, clean and modern with a fully-equipped kitchen perfect for a self-catering stay. Apartment building was nice and quiet for our two-week holiday. Also useful having a washing machine, clothes airer and pegs. Nice to have a choice of a bath or shower. No problem with self-check in.

Cons: Nothing we didn't like, it was all good.

All in all very good value for the price.

Pros: The location of the apartment was perfect for the beach and the lake. Also very convenient for the airport.

Cons: There were only two aspects of our stay that warrant any negative comment. A few more useful kitchen accessories would have made food preparation easier. And one that you have no control over, the occupants of the flat above make far too much noise

Pros: The apartment is really spacious and comfortable. The floor and the surfaces were clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. We asked for more glasses and the host brought some the next day. We had a private parking space (you will see details in the arrival instructions) even though when we asked on booking the response was that we should park across the street.

Cons: You can hear planes taking off. Still, we had no issues sleeping. Also, the living room sofa and the carpet could be cleaned more often. We were also notified that one of the bathrooms were leaking to the apartment underneath, but nobody came to fix it and we used only one bathroom, which is sometimes crowded for a family of 4 :)

Pros: Excellent location and view from the balcony was breathtaking.

Cons: Toaster not working

Pros: It is a spacious apartment with a nice view over the saltpans and the airport. Altough the airport is very close, you hardly hear the airplanes in the sleeping room. It's close to Makenzie beach with good restaurants and a 15 min walk to the old fortress.

Cons: The beds were quite hard, maintenencecould be better. Although you have an online explanation about the apartment, it would be helpfull to have an (printed) info folder in the apartment as well...

Amazing apartment with amazing view

Pros: The apartment is wonderful, bright, friendly and very clean. The view from the balcon is amazing, you can see the airport, the sea and the Salt lake with sunset. Beds are comfort, and the kithcen is well eqiupped. We can heat with the airconditions. There are two bathroom, two toilet, two bedroom and two balcon therefore perfect for 4 person. We really enjoyed it. The bus stop is in the front of the house, so we bought 7-day-ticket to the bus. Bus of 425 took us to the city centre and the airport too, and it comes every 20 mintes. The Makenzy beach is far from 5 minutes on foot. So we are very satisfied, hope we can return there sometimes.

Cons: I can’t write anything.

We enjoy very much

Pros: The apartment is very nice, clean and fully equipped with access to internet. It has one complete bathroom at the master room and other in the reception. Downstairs the apartment was the bus station to go to the center.

Cons: The apartment was a little far from the center.
