Perfect stay in a beautiful stone house

Pros: The house is located in a the lovely village of Silikou and superbly situated to tour the Commandaria region as well as the Trodos mountains. A beautiful traditional stone house with a view of the village and surrounding hills from the second floor balcony. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is cosy and homely. Host Aristidou Aristide, a truly kind and lovely man is a retired professor and current Commandaria wine farmer met us at the house upon arrival. He treated us to a huge bag of grapes fresh from the vineyard, gave us a super interesting private tour of the local Commandaria museum and was also very helpful with any questions we had about the area.

Cons: We were a bit warm at night and an air conditioner would have been perfect

Pros: Well, it's a nice house in the small village. The house itself looks quite new, but it's built in the old Greek style. The area around it is quite safe and tranquil. The balcony is a real gift that provides a nice view during the day and fresh air during the night, where you can chill out for hours. The host is very proactive and always willing to be helpful.

Our „castle experience“… Our kids loved it <3

Pros: Best place on our cyprus trip. Unfortunatelly we only had 3 nights there. We should have stayed longer ;-) Our Kids (3&1) love the historical charme, we named it „our Castle“. Aristides was a great host. Brought us some fresh oranges in the morning. Gave us a private tour throught the local wine museum. Btw. he knows a lot a can explain many historical things on cyprus (if interested). The Place is very calm and relaxing.

Our stay at House was a delightful escape, offering cozy comfort and warm hospitality.

Pros: Our stay was fantastic! The cozy, clean house and beautiful rustic decor with a fireplace made us feel right at home. The location was perfect, offering stunning countryside views and a peaceful atmosphere. Aristide was incredibly welcoming and provided excellent local recommendations. We enjoyed various activities, from walking to relaxing by the fireplace. Overall, an unforgettable experience that we highly recommend!

A wonderful cozy traditional house with history

Pros: A perfect place for relaxing holiday getaway. A quiet village, an excellent authentic stone house with lots of museum details of Cypriot culture, fully equipped with everything you may need. A comforting fireplace, lots of board games, hospitable pleasant owners. We celebrated New Year in this house, and were excited with our choice, a great place for vacation and holiday.

Pros: stary dom uroczo przygotowany do wynajmu. Przyj jechaliśmy w najchłodniejszy tydzień roku z obawami o temperaturę. Ale Gospodarz czekał na nas przy rozpalonym kominku, w pokojach komfortowe grzejniki elektryczne i dodatkowo grzejniki przenośne. Gospodarz prowadzi lokalne muzeum i jest nieskończonym źródłem wiedzy o lokalnej kulturze.

Sehr schönes ruhiges Ferienhaus. Für die Winterzeit nicht unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Pros: Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der uns bei der Ankunft zum Quartier leitete (Daten in Booking.com sind nicht exakt). Sehr schön restauriertes Haus mit Balkon auf der Südseite. Umfangreich ausgestattete Küche, Wohn- und Esszimmer mit einem Kaminofen, bequemes Sofa. Weihnachtlich dekoriert und mit kleinen Gastgeschenken begrüßt. Das Feuer schafft mehr Atmosphäre als Wärme.

Cons: Das Bad ist alles vorhanden und folglich sehr eng. Wenn mit einem Heizlüfter geheizt wird, kann man sich kaum noch bewegen. In der Winterzeit ist das Haus als ganzes nur schwer beheizbar, außer man lässt die E-Heizung ständig laufen.

Une belle adresse!

Pros: Choisie pour son authenticité, la maison nous a émerveillés. Charme de l'ancien, chaleureuse (le poêle mis en route à notre arrivée), la vue et son rez-de-chaussée avec murs en pierre et voûte restaurée avec soin. Mais la découverte ne s'arrête pas là... Aristide le propriétaire nous a fait découvrir avec passion l'histoire de son village ( couplée à l'histoire de France depuis 1000 ans), son musée local, le Nama (le vrai nom Chypriote de la commandaria) et son huile d'olive verte. Deux belles rencontres!
